St. James Marketplace
is located in a school, which is on the National Registry of Historic Places. It includes a farmers
market/hand made craft area and history room.
St. James,
located 1/4 mi North of Scenic Highway 12, is 4 mi on scenic road
from Missouri River and Goat Island where Pvt. George Shannon was
lost on the Lewis & Clark expedition.
Be sure to check out
the carved Shannon Statue in Wynot.

scenery.
We offer tours of the marketplace, showing off our
pioneer history. Along the Lewis & Clark Trail,
you will be sure
to learn more about the
Corps of Discovery and the Shannon Trail.

Located 1 1/4 miles east of Wynot
Spur on Hwy 12 & 1/4 mile north. From Vermillion/Newcastle bridge
on Hwy 12, drive 12 miles west to St. James turnoff. Watch for our signs.
